The Marksman's Essential Kit – Everything Worth Knowing

Before your first visit to the shooting range, you often have questions. We've gathered the most important answers so you can focus purely on aiming and having fun.

Do I need a firearms licence or experience?

No. This is the most common myth. At our shooting range, anyone can legally shoot under the supervision of a qualified instructor. You don't need a licence or your own firearm – we provide the equipment and full support.

2. Can a minor use a shooting range?

Yes. A minor can shoot at a shooting range under the supervision of an adult. We then select a suitable weapon (e.g. a smaller calibre .22LR) to maximise the enjoyment of shooting.

3. What is the permissible minimum age for a child?

Children usually start their adventure with us between the ages of 10-12. Every child develops differently, which is why our instructors are able to look after the comfort of even younger shooters.

4. Can I bring accompanying persons?

Yes! Loved ones can observe your progress. For safety reasons, being on the range incurs a charge of £30 (we provide ear defenders and instructor supervision).

5. How to prepare for your visit (CLOTHING)?

Dress appropriately for the weather (open terrain) and choose full sports footwear. Avoid low-cut tops – hot shrapnel likes to fall in there!

6. What about bad weather (rain/snow)?

We shoot regardless of the weather! Our stands are covered, so you and the instructor stay dry, and the rain just adds to the atmosphere.
